Today was supposed to be the day that Jared and I left for Europe. We have been planning a three month trip of Europe.Trying to see and experience as much as we can in that time. Both of us have a list of things that we are dying to see. Me is the Eiffel Tower and all the little charming villages in France. Enjoy the pasta and people in Italy ( the book Eat, Pray and Love has totally inspired me and wanted me to go and visit), Greece and its people and all the architecture...and I could go on and on. But we have decided to postpone our big trip until next summer. And I must admit I am feeling a bit sad and disappointed, especially since I thought this was going to be our summer to go and explore the world it will have to be next year. Our year to get away. It's what I feel I have been needing for awhile. What we have been needing. Get away from the everyday. But the up side of waiting until next year gives us more time to do research of exactly what we want to see and explore and the big one of course is saving more money for the trip and not having to worry about not having enough.
So, once September rolls around and I am doing it now but we will be spending less. I do have to say with me being on holidays and all we're doing pretty good. I do still bring in a bit of an income with tutoring and SU it helps with the bills and the little extra things.
Now because Jared and I are home this summer we have been trying to find things around locally to do and stuff that is not too expensive. That is of course besides spending time out in the backyard and doing bbq's (YUM!!) we have definetly been enjoying that. Planning to go on more bike rides together, lots of hanging out with friends and family is always good.
I have been busy trying to get the house all clean and organized and it's getting there. And I have been enjoying myself being creative, now that I actually have time to do it. Lots of ideas I want to try. Especially the techniques with the Thinking Inking Class over at two peas. So fun some of the stuff I want to try. And there are always lots of crafty ideas over at You Tube just type anything, I have lots of subscriptions saved.
Jared and I went last weekend to Bard on the Beach. It was tons of fun and very cool. It's a Shakespeare festival where you can go and watch any of the 4 shows they play. It was part of my birthday present, I have always wanted to go and Jared surprised me!! We watched the Comedy of Errors and it was quite funny and they speak in a mix of olde English and English spoken now so, it was very easy to understand. They run until September so, if you get a chance to go and you live locally you should totally go. I'm hoping to go one more time.
Another place that I am wanting to go and visit this summer is the Original Cupcake. They have quite a few locations around town and I have always wanted to visit and try some of their cupcakes. Check out the website it's pretty cute.
This place Jared introduced me to it. He used to rave about when he would come home from work. It's called the Noodle Box. I've only gone about twice and it is absolutely AMAZING!! It's a noodle place and they make some very delliciousdishes with all sorts of veggies and meats. YUM!!
That's about it that I can think about right now I will come up with some more later, and post some photos of new places I discover as the summer goes.
Have a good week!!
